If your trip to Córdoba is all organized but your itinerary is a bit on the empty side, let us give you a helping hand.
You'll have to rise with the sun if you want to check out all the fascinating sights that this place has to offer. Plaza de la Corredera and Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba are no-brainers. Viana Palace and Calahorra Tower shouldn't be overlooked either.
Close to the city center, Estatua al Gran Capitán is one attraction to consider adding to your to-do list. If you still have some space on that travel schedule, Tendillas Plaza and San Miguel Church will keep you entertained, as well.
We know you're eager to take your new ride for a spin. How about taking a short trip out to Priego de Cordoba? Just 43 miles away, roll down those windows and feel the breeze in your hair on the drive there. Soak up the sights beginning with Priego de Cordoba Church of La Asuncion, House Museum of Niceto Alcala and Neptune's Fountain. Locals will also likely point you in the direction of Cabra, 34 miles away. If you only have time for one thing here, make sure it's Teatro El Jardinito. (But we're also huge fans of Church of Our Lady of Asuncion and Angeles and Centro de interpretación Tren del Aceite.)
Here on a business-related trip? You'll be happy to know that Convention Center Cordoba has some wonderful restaurants, cafés and hotels close by. You'll find it 0.4 miles from Córdoba.
Avoid paying an arm and a leg for a rental car by following these tips:
Córdoba knows how to entertain. You could spend a week here and not get bored. To experience as much as possible in this dynamic metropolis, a rental car is a must. Keep in mind that driving in the city generally comes with tight streets and sparse parking spaces. But don't worry — a small car like a compact can make this a lot easier to manage. If you're aiming to head out of the city and check out the caves that Córdoba is well known for, you'll probably prefer a car with a bit more power. A mid-size or full-size SUV will make that longer drive comfortable.
You'll be glad to hear that there's a wide variety of both high-end and economy rental vehicles available in Córdoba. What you end up going with is largely dependent on your budget and what you plan to do. Prestige vehicles offer the best in mod cons and comfort. If you're splurging, why not book an SUV with all the bells and whistles, or perhaps a flashy medium-sized sedan? On the other hand, if you're just after a set of wheels to get from A to B as cheaply as possible, you're better off choosing a versatile compact vehicle (or something else that won't burn a hole in your pocket).
