I was mislead by CarRental.com to think I would be able to rent a Nissan Versa 4dr sedan or another comparable car for @ $179 for 5 days. But when I went to the Hertz location in Centereach NY to p/u the rental they only had a Toyota Yaris which was much too small and was nowhere comparable to the size of the Nissan Versa. They pointed out to me that the Toyota Yaris was a Class B vehicle which was supposedly in the same classification as the Nissan Versa and in order to get a larger vehicle, not only would I have to pay at least $10 a day more but I had to go all the way to the Hertz location in Patchogue in order to rent the slightly larger car which was a Toyota Camry. Also to add misery to mishap the Hertz at the Centereach location also couples as a repair garage and was so busy that it took nearly an hour and a half before I found out they offer what I needed and had to send me to the Patchogue location. Also it wasn't made clear at the website online that the insurance that I purchased was not through Hertz but was actually through Alliance an outside company that has no dealings with the Hertz company.
