We picked up our car in Palma at the airport. A nice lady who spoke good German has led us to our car. This was very dirty from the outside. Previous damage was shown to us. We had to sign some things at the handover, but that was all in English. The rental car was explained to us. Since our return flight was very early in the morning, we should park the car at a certain point in the parking garage and throw the key into a box that was shown to us before. No problem. Later that day, when we got back home, the company called Alamo and said that they allegedly noticed signs of break-in and that they had to charge our account with 1000 €. We explained to the lady that we did not notice this on return or that these tracks were not there. Of course we also asked for photos of the alleged damage and a bill from the workshop, etc. The lady wanted to send this as an e-mail. We waited two days and called again and requested this. But even this call was unprocessed. And everyone else tried to reach someone else at Alamo, because nobody answered the phone. Since we have not received any documents that show us the alleged damage and simply our account has been charged, we will initiate legal action here. We can only advise against anyone renting a car from ALAMO.
