My experience was chaotic from the start. The vehicle selected for us was due to expire by the end of the month so a hand written contract was issued. The price was almost $200 higher than the price I found online so the original contract was shredded and recreated at the lower price, but not without several comments made about how the salesman would never use a third party for a rental car. I was required to write my social security number on a blank sheet of paper and my credit was pulled for the transaction. I have rented MANY cars and this was a first for me. The passenger seat in the rental was broken. I returned the following day to have it looked at and was issued a replacement vehicle by a different salesman and things from that point on went very smoothly. I will probably not work with Hertz again in the future. It was, by far, my most complicated car rental experience.
