Picking up the car was easy and the guy at the counter was friendly enough. We wanted to keep it for another day and they were going to charge us double the daily rate. So, we rented a car from Budget. It was a better car for cheaper and a way better experience.

Easy process of picking the car up. Staff member was very friendly. Drop off was unsettling bcz the office was closed and the process was unclear. I had to ask the valets at the hotel (not my hotel) where to go and where to drop the keys as there was little to no signage. They were friendly & helpful, said they get asked all the time. Hertz downtown Portland should make the process clearer.

Might want to avoid Hertz in Portland. Bare bones operation; not the cleanest car.
