The office almost canceled the reservation because we have the international drivers license issued by DMV not by AAA. It took a while for her to accept the license. It was frustrating!

Here's a rundown of the best ways to help you save on a rental car:
Sometimes it's better to think small, especially if you'll be maneuvering the streets of Seoul and Incheon. Economy rental cars are the number one choice for tourists in South Korea — and there's so much to love about them. Easily zoom around town, enjoy great gas mileage, and most importantly, save on rental fees. These cost-effective small vehicles prove bigger doesn't always mean better!
It's always a good idea to escape the city, and if you do, prepare to be richly rewarded. With caves, snowfields, and canals to discover, South Korea knows how to do an exciting day trip. A larger vehicle like a four-wheel drive or an SUV will give you more comfort and room for those longer scenic drives.
You'll be happy to hear that there's an impressive variety of both high-end and economy rentals in South Korea. What you go for depends on your funds and what you're planning to do. Prestige vehicles are hard to beat if you're all about mod cons and comfort. If you feel like splashing out, why not book an elite SUV, or perhaps a cushy mid-sized vehicle? On the other hand, if you just need a set of wheels to whiz around town in at the cheapest price possible, stick with an economy compact vehicle (or something else that's unlikely to break the bank).
