Bigger doesn't always mean better, and that's particularly true in the case of your ride. In New Zealand, compact cars are the most popular type of rental car for many reasons. More miles per gallon, better handling, and easy parking are the tip of the iceberg! If you're going to cruise through Auckland or Wellington, go for something that's chic and compact. It's always a nice idea to get out of the city, and if you do, get set to be richly rewarded. With rocky coastlines, shingle seashores, and sandy shores to check out, New Zealand offers endless day trip opportunities. A bigger vehicle like an SUV or a four-wheel drive will give you and your passengers more space for those longer scenic drives.
