Credit card security only works with PIN. Without credit card you have to buy insurance. As a result, the low rental price is lost again. When returning man was on the phone (office was not occupied) unfriendly as we were 2 hours earlier back than a week earlier communicated.

Original agreed rental fee was 207.99 euros. Discussed the insurance with the rental company Addcar and agreed on an additional payment for all-risk insurance coverage. Rental company Addcar explained that in case of major damage or accident a police report was required for insurance purpose. In case of minor scratches a police report was not required and the additional insurance would cover the damage at no additional costs. Credit Card was charged for an amount of 326.71 Euro. On returning the car inspection was done by Mr. Zoran or Addcar. Minor damage on the right front bumper and just below the right front headlight. This has most likely happened in a parking lot. No report was made. Mr. Zoran considered this major damage and insisted on a police report. As a report was not available the damage had to be paid with the credit card: An amount of 250 Euro to cover for the damage + and 75 Euro handling fee. Mr Zoran threatened to call the police if damage would not be paid in full with the credit card. He was talking on the phone in Croatian for support. After his phone call Mr. Zoran explained that if the police had to come an investigation would be required which would take more time and a possible fine for not reporting the incident to the police. As we had to catch a flight we could not wait for the police and possible other delays. There was no other option then to pay the amount of 325 Euro, otherwise he would not let us go. Mr Zoran also promised to send me a full report of the damage to my e-mail address. This has not been received. Mr. Zoran refused to give me his full name
