A little inconvenient, bc you have to take the subway (BART) over to the nearest stop to the rental car place. The round trip on the BART cost 2 of us $36.50! This fee was not reimbursed by Hertz. I was told, We will pick you up there after you call us upon arriving. In reality, they call a Lyft to come get you. Our Lyft didn't show (after waiting 20-25 minutes). So I called Hertz again, and they called Lyft again. Note that they were only 5 minutes away.I All this wasted time when we really wanted to start seeing San Francisco. The woman who helped me was not super friendly, and would rather hand me paperwork to read instead of answering basic info about extra fees. When we returned the car, things went more smoothly.

picked up was a breeze, svc rep was nice and friendly, prompt. But return experience was the worst. the rep was on her phone, then because I told her that someone searched my bumper, then she tried to scare me with BS thinking I never rented a car before. i told her I had bought allianz insurance for the car, then she just said she's gonna charge me with damage, and I have to file with allianz myself, very rude and unfriendly.

Did a last minute reservation and found one reasonably price, so I booked it. Avis/Budget personnel were nice and fast upon arrival.
