We picked up the car when we were already in Marsa Alam for a few days. Because according to the data from CardelMar the office was open until 10 p.m., we thought that we could also pick up the car a little later (4:30 p.m. instead of 2 p.m.). That worked out better in our day planning. The email indicating that you must pick up the car on time was received when we were in Egypt and we had not seen it due to poor Wifi. The airport turned out to be closed and there appeared to be no Europcar office at all. The cars are brought to Marsa Alam from the office in Hurghada. We were lucky that the person who still had to deliver the car was not back on the road to Hurghada and could still take the car with us. Good service!

According to the booking and Europcar website, there is an airport office, so we chose Europcar. Once there, it turns out that an employee from the city office comes to the airport and then you have to drive together into the city, after you had to pick up another employee in the departure area. The car of the booked category was not available, but there is no upgrade as with other landlords, but a downgrade to a smaller train, but the purchase price in the same category would be. But I do not book a car by purchase price, but by vehicle size. After a long discussion, it was admitted that the vehicle booked was not available (only in a few days), but no compensation was provided, which we should discuss with Europcar Egypt or CardelMar. Cheeky, cheeky staff, no Airport Office (contrary to description and lease), 1.5h time needed until we finally had a car (including travel to the city and pickup of the employee) and other car as booked (smaller), conclusion: never again !
