On arrival, I learn that my vehicle is not available, the previous customer is late. The solution is given: I am outclassed but I must take insurance from SIXT and pay a deposit of 6000 US $. I refuse, and indicates that I will be outclassed but will not pay in any case an extra cent, the fault coming from SIXT. They refuse and tell me that my vehicle should be back in an hour, it is 00:30. I will wait then. In the meantime, other customers arrive and are offered the same thing. The more time passes, the more I tell myself that my car will never arrive. The latter will finally arrive, I can finally leave the airport at 2:00 am instead of 00:30. Service deplorable and extremely slow.

We wanted a rather spacious car and that's what we got but in a poor state. The front bumper shrunk several times, there was a leak at the level of the parachute so when it was raining, water came back from the car, the windshield wipers were to change (it was so much more dangerous! ) .... And we booked a car seat ds category 9-18kg and they gave us a cozy (-9kg), he did not want to know what it was like! Of course, our 2-year-old son did not go inside. He ended up looking for a booster but again not suitable, we had to deal with. In short this is not the first time we rent to Santo Domingo but this is the first time we have a car also rotten. And that's not the luxury we're looking for. We will go through another provider next time.

The car was in very good condition and relatively new (about 26,000 km). The only scratch was documented in writing when taking over the vehicle. Since I had a fully comprehensive insurance with deductible, this was deducted from the credit card (instead of the amount on the credit card to block). After delivery of the car, the amount was immediately credited back to my credit card. Everything went smoothly. Two years ago I had already rented a car at Orlando on La Palma. Everything went to my satisfaction there as well. Although the car had a few small flaws and was not as new as that on Gran Canaria, at the low price these little things did not bother me. So far, I have had good experiences with Orlando.
