Car was well used, seriously scratched up but ran fine. Service was otherwise good.

I was skeptical, I don't understand the business model because they reserved a car for me, but I didn't pay til i got there. Anyways, I checked with Budget ahead of time that time reservation was the real deal, and it was. Sure enough, I got to St Croix, went straight to the desk and signed out the Jeep and used it for a week for a good price - $475 or so. Happy customer here

I started with carrentals.com, which showed me the Budget Rental Car price and possible car, an Audi A3. After selecting that choice, I was transferred to the Budget web site. That site said the car would be a Mitsubish Lancer or equivalent. When I picked up the car, it was a beat up Toyota Corolla. I asked the Budget agent about an Audi or Mitsubishi and she said that Budget on the island has never had an Audi or Mitsubishi. I understand that rental company assets can vary from location to location and that a representative car is considered a fair way to express the quality differences in the cars available. But in no way is an Audi A3 comparable to Toyota Corolla. I fault carrentals.com for their representation of perhaps the best car in the classification. I fault Budget for displaying a Mitsubishi when that location doesn't have the brand. Budget should know what assets they have that are on an island. I blame Budget for renting a vehicle with numerous scratches and dents on every surface of the car. The tire pressure sensors were broken, but the agent said that if there was a tire trouble, they would come out and change the tire for free. Fortunately, we had no such trouble. All-in-all, the car got us around the island for the week that we rented.
