Compact cars are the most popular type of rental car in Kenya. And if you're about to spend a good deal of your time driving around the lively streets of Nairobi or Mombasa, you'll quickly learn why. Ditch the SUV or van for a set of wheels that are chic and compact — parking is easy and they're a dream to drive! That all said, Kenya is known for its savannahs, valleys, and mountains. It'd be a shame not to leave the city limits to see those picturesque vistas. If that sounds tempting, reserve an SUV or a full-size vehicle. Even if you don't intend to venture off-road, you'll be grateful for the extra space.
