After a delay, no one was at the airport. The number on the voucher was called several times, always an answering machine in Greek. After waiting more than an hour, we took a taxi to the hotel. Next morning tried again to call, again the answering machine. Looked up the website of the rental partner Global rent A Car on the internet, sent an email and called the number that was on the site. Hereby had a woman on the phone who said that she had been there until 10 p.m. The other rental companies were waiting in the hall for their customers. He reported that Global had been but left immediately. Told the lady of Global about the delay and that there was a flight number on the voucher that she could have looked at, which she had not received, according to her. When I asked how we could solve it, I was told that the car had already been rented out and that nothing could be done about it. Called on Monday morning with the customer service of car del mar, and they could also mean nothing to me (was not really much trouble done) To my surprise I received a reply on Monday afternoon that I could call their office to still the car to receive. I called and got the same lady on the phone. Now the car was apparently available again and I could pick it up at the airport (again a taxi ride of € 60). Then there would be no costs involved. I kindly thanked her because I had already arranged a car somewhere else. Car del Mar had already collected the amount from our credit card. We can now start complaints procedures to reclaim our money.
