I waited an hour to get situated with a vehicle that was smaller then what I prepaid for. I was never compensated for the price difference of the vehicle size and was charged $50 to have the tank filled a quarter by Hertz.

We pre-paid for the car so they should have known it and brought over from 'next door' enough cars to have at least the prepaid ones available. Another lady there had been there for hours - first on the phone, then at the office - trying to get a car.

My experience was horrible. I booked my reservation at same time as my flight by typing in Tampa airport and was confirmed at a reasonable rate. Once getting to the airport rental office, I was told it was an incorrect pickup location and they would not honor the confirmed rate. I was charged double my confirmed rate and feel that HERTZ is scamming their customers by booking at nearby locations when you type in the airport you want to pickup at. I am not from the area of Tampa (hence a rental car from the airport) and did not know it was not the right location. This should not be an option when booking. And it is unknown to me why a company would not honor a confirmed rate. I will NEVER rent from HERTZ again and will be telling everyone I know who is traveling, never to use HERTZ. I was charged double. Horrible.
