The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and unobtrusive. Nobody tried to crack something we didn't need. On the contrary, we were also allowed to choose the upgrade car, so a Ford Ka suddenly became a 3 Series BMW, nice! There was also nothing wrong with the car, top condition and clean, without the smell of aggressive cleaners like many other cars. The return was also uncomplicated and quick. Highly Recommended!

Never again SIXT! Having already had bad experiences with the Kiel NL of SIXT in 2018, I should have been warned. When handing over the rented vehicle in Barcelona (El Prat airport) - it was a Citroen Berlingo MPV 5 - we had to find, inter alia, that the outside mirror on the driver's side was not in proper condition; at higher speeds a collapse of the exterior mirror threatened .....! Even otherwise, the vehicle made a rather modest impression (ie grade -3). After the further expiration of the rental we ask ourselves, if that was all a coincidence! The SIXT employee was immediately ready to hand us another (comparable) vehicle. However, he immediately offered to upgrade us. Since my family with my choice of vehicle (Citroen Berlingo) was not quite satisfied, I was - orally - make an offer from him. A Nissan Qashqai UT diesel / manual gearshift would be available and would have a slightly larger trunk. Due to the painter (broken mirrors) of SIXT regarding the actually intended car I would be the Nissan Qashqai instead of for 35 EUR per day for 20 EUR rental price. For the Citroen Berlingo, I had paid 16.87 EUR per day via CarDelMar - the difference of 25.04 EUR (8 X 3.13 EUR), I was of course happy to pay. So I agreed ..... Previously, the employee of SIXT had to take on my request even more defects on the paint of the Nissan addition .....; after that he pointed out that you have all the data from me and also access to my credit card. I should not worry. Since we were now under time pressure - the transfer of the house in Lloret de Mar had to take place in a given narrow time window, we packed our luggage in the Nissan and let us the expression of the lease (inkl.e costs) on departure even fast in the Hand press. Unfortunately, I did not control the contract plus cost statement until we wanted to start the return journey eight days later and wanted to leave the rental car. Note: At 4 o'clock in the morning the SIXT NL was not occupied at the airport El Prat / Barcelona ... so I was not able to personally confront the employee. Note: That's why I still wanted and led phone call with a SIXT staff (German speaking) in the head office (?) Was in the sand - I was ironed out ... it would be great. CONCLUSION: According to the rental agreement, the Nissan Qashqai UT should cost 20.99 EUR PLUS 21% VAT per day - PLUS various other extras that I have never ordered! Total: 338,10 EUR - if at all the 134.92 EUR are taken into account, which I already paid over CarDelMar, I can not say yet, since I have not been deducted from SIXT. If things are going very badly, then a final amount of EUR 473.02 will come out for us for about eight days. My lessons from my - admittedly - too bona fide behavior: 1. Never again SIXT, 2. Time pressure must not give a rash in the conclusion of contracts of this kind decision, 3. Let rental agreement and cost explained in detail and IMMEDIATELY check locally. 4. So do not trust any more with such rentals - so the employees (no matter how friendly) are trimmed to make additional sales .....!
