No real issues. Vehicle was supposed to be ready at noon. I arrived around 1:30pm in a hurry and had to wait for it to be cleaned and serviced. Other than that the young man who handed me the keys was a gentleman and a scholar.

We rented a minivan for our spring break vacation because we have a family of 7. They didn’t have a minivan when we went to pick up, but a Ford Expedition instead..... which had NO luggage room for any of our bags. They argued that it provided seating for all 7 passengers and would not do anything to make this right. We had to re-pack and limit our family of 7 to 3 bags total and the children were miserable packed in so tightly.... not to mention the gas mileage was MUCH worse than a minivan. HORRIBLE experience !

I had to cool off before writing this review. The experience started off well enough but didn't last. When we picked up our full sized vehicle, we told the representative that we were driving it to Florida. The tires seemed to make a lot of noise on the drive down, we checked them when we got there. The wear pattern was in poor shape, so we took the car to a Hertz dealer to have it checked out. They agreed that we should not have been driving on those tires and gave us a replacement vehicle (that was dirty on the inside and not as nice as what we had originally rented). We accepted it not wanting to make things harder. It wasn't nearly as comfortable for the long road trip back home. When we arrived home a day early (Saturday afternoon) we wanted to take the car back, but when we called we found they had closed at noon. On the appropriate day (Sunday) we took the car in on time only to find out that they were closed on Sundays. To make it worse, there was was a sign that said to leave the keys in the box and that we would be charged until the next business day that they were open, but that was TWO days away due to New Year's holiday. It would have been nice to have been INFORMED of this when we picked the car up, for we would have rented from the airport or somewhere else. There was no way we were going to leave that car sit in the parking lot from Sunday to Tuesday - and PAY for it. Who knows what could have happened to it in an unsecured lot. So we called Hertz Customer Service. They told us to leave the car there and pay the extra two days then dispute it later. WHAT??! No. Instead, we arranged to return the car to the airport and, because now it was later than the scheduled 8 a.m. return time, we STILL had to pay an extra day. We should have rented from the airport to begin with. SUMMARY: The tires placed us in an unsafe situation for travel. We received a dirty vehicle in its place. Then we were charged an extra day though we tried to return it on time as scheduled. So yes, we are not happy customers. The rep at the airport was very kind, sympathetic, and apologetic for our poor customer experience with Hertz. If not for that, this would have been a total failure.
