The rate I was quoted through CarRentals was not the rate I received at the counter. I noticed this only when I returned the vehicle. An adjustment needed to be made on my credit card. When I picked up another car at the same location two days later, the agency was closed for one hour 'be back at 9:00 am even though I had requested a car to be available at 8:00 am. The agent on duty, Jessica, was out picking up a car because no cars were available. Jessica tried calling me on my Canadian cell phone to inform me, but she was not able to reach me because Avis no longer allows her to call international phone numbers. This is a very foolish policy on Avis' behalf. It frustrates staff and alienates customers. Long distance phone rates are very inexpensive! Don't risk losing customers through frustration to save a few pennies on a phone call.

Need to hire more people for customer service. There was only 1 person working behind the desk with a line of 6-7 people. Wait time to get my car was almost 30 min. The car had a strange smell and I found a bag of oranges and other items left in my car which means it was definitely not cleaned between renters.
