• Use our amazing filter tool to help steer you in the direction of the hottest car deals around — and then compare the prices;
• Sign up for our Price Drop Alert service and stay up to date when prices become cheaper for your destination;
• Check the offers at all rental locations around town, being sure to include both the airport and its surrounds. A brief cab journey to a close-by rental car center might score you substantial savings;
• If you're not fussed about which day of the week you pick up the keys to your car and your travel plans are flexible, experiment with days and dates to find the best rates;
• Pickup and drop-off times generally need to be similar (e.g, both 9 a.m.) or you could be asked to pay for an entire extra day;
• Some car rental companies offer big incentives to pay as soon as you book, so make sure you look out for these kinds of offers;
• Book as soon as your dates are locked in. The earlier you book, the bigger the choice.
