I had ordered to pick up my rental at the airport and when I arrived and called the number from the email they said I have to go to a different terminal and wait for their shuttle. After calling 3 times and waiting 45mins for their shuttle with my 2 small exhausted children, they bring us to their office and inform me that the insurance I purchased on the carrentals.com website was not accept by them. I would need to pay their daily insurance rate to get a car. Then my children and I drove to Niagara Falls. Four days later as we are getting ready to leave I called the rental location to get the exact address for where they informed me I would have to bring it back and be shuttled back to the airport. The operator informed me ALL of their locations are closed and to leave my key in the drop box at their location. So when I arrived to a location with NO parking to drop the car off I had to find my own means of transportation back to the airport for me and my 2 small children, before missing our flight, since they couldn't shuttle us back like they had promised during our conversation at pick up. This was the only horrible aspect of our amazing trip. Not worth the aggravation.

In the email I received from CarRentals.com, I called the exact 1 800 number that they provided to me (1 800 259 1683) was an inappropriate number. This lead to an awkward situation that almost lost my company business

I had an absolutely terrible time with this rental agency and I advise everyone to stay away from these people as much as you can. It was Labor Day, and they knew it was a heavily booked., And they insisted on exorbitant daily insurance rates, or else no car, even though I had insurance through my credit card. They also charged me way too much, beyond what I was charged by carrentals.com by adding an extra day. Absolutely horrible

You will need to present your driver's license and a credit card in your name.

How old do I have to be to rent a car in Ontario?

Ace's minimum age to rent a car in Ontario is 21. Make sure to check Ace's policies, as there could be additional fees if you are under 25 in most cases or for higher category vehicles in particular.

What kind of Ace rental car should I get for my trip to Ontario?

That depends on how many people you are traveling with and what you'll be doing when you visit Ontario. Economy or compact cars are ideal for short commutes and are easier to park. If you are traveling with family or friends, then a SUV or mid-size vehicle will have enough room for all of you and be a more comfortable ride. Those looking for a bit of luxury on their Ontario getaway can choose a higher-end category like a Mercedes C-Class or Cadillac XTS or similar.

Does the United States require car insurance?

In the United States you do need to have insurance before you rent a car from Ace. Although many of the major card issuers, like MasterCard or Discover, offer some coverage, there are usually restrictions. For example, you may not be covered if you book a luxury or larger vehicle. Make sure to check credit card company's policy before you decide. Additionally, as a United States citizen, you can also add on Collision Damage Coverage with CarRentals.com at checkout.

Ace does require a deposit when you reserve your rental. Ace will block the deposit on your credit once you book your rental for your trip. Please note that the deposit may vary greatly based on the make and model of the vehicle.

Do I have to return my Ace rental with a full tank?

At CarRentals.com, we encourage a full to full policy. You receive the vehicle with the needle at "F". But, if you return the rental with less than the amount it was given to you, most companies will charge a premium, and sometimes up to triple the amount of current gas prices to refill it. For a cheaper rate, it is best to find a filling station before you bring it back to Ace.

Ontario has enough to keep you entertained, but you may want to drive to nearby cities to see what else California has to offer. You can explore the rest of the region free of mileage limits once you've checked off all the activities in Ontario.
