Found that the car was to small for us and wanted to upgrade to next bigger model. They wanted to charge us more than double for the next size up and were very rude about the problem. Basically were told to take it or leave it. Then told us where the car was in the parking garage but no car and no one else there to explain. Car eventually showed up after 15 minutes.

I am very impressed with Sixt's systematic way of handling vehicle body conditions. The existing body-condition problems, big or small, are provided in a list. The renters can simply check the body condition against the provided list, no hassle, no unpleasant argument. This is the way to go!

We arrived an hour early, and were greeted with friendly service but as expected our car was not ready. We returned one and a half hours after our pickup time but our car was not in the downstairs lot. It took over 20 minutes and some additional inquiry for our car to arrive. It was the the Mercedes we had hoped for, but an upgraded Volvo and it was a good car, EXCEPT the remote key battery must have been dead because we could not lock our car anywhere. When we returned the car the staff asked why we did not return the car and key, but I felt that was too much hassle given the amount of time we waited for our car and the inconvenience of another wait. It was a bit risky on our last day with baggage in the trunk while at lunch but we managed without incident. I inquired about a credit but het management team was in Morocco. I hope to hear back from them. If they address this issue, I would rent again because overall it was a good experience and a great value for the type of car. I would like to give the entire staff a shout out at SE 1st Street for being very helpful and friendly. Quite the contrary to the mixed reviews, we found the staff a real plus!
