While I wanted an automatic so that two people could drive, we wound up with a manual car, and there were no other cars on site to help us out. The cars were also extremely small, and fitting four of us was very difficult. We rented the large size vehicle as well. The car itself was cleaned and in good shape, but be very careful about scratches, dents, or dings so as to not wind up having to pay extra. The cost was great compared to other vendors, but you run the risk of some of the issues we faced. The woman behind the counter was very nice, and did not do the standard pressure upsell on insurance that wouldn't be needed, but rather explained the various seasons in Iceland. Also, be very careful to confirm that you are using a CREDIT CARD only, as two couples next to us were turned away for having credit/debit cards, which were not accepted. They then had to call the main company, as Dollar could not help, and ultimately had to try and rent elsewhere.
