My experience was absolutely disgusting! I cannot believe you would have staff employed that think it is ok to treat woman like dirt! I was made to feel like an absolute moron by questioning the fact the car had snow tires on. I explained we were driving through Banff and Jasper and I wanted to make sure we would be safe in doing so. I was then rudely told that 'sure that car has tires on them and if they don't I would need to find some snow chains'. This is pathetic and disrespectful to the customer. I also questioned why we were given a Chev Trax when I specifically requested a Jeep due to needing a deeper boot for 4 suitcases. I was then laughed at and shown a picture of a mid class SUV and told to suck it up. This obviously made me incredibly upset and frustrated. Not to mention insurance!!! I was offered your insurance through Allianz multiple times through email and was told each time it was unsuccessful. I then questioned this at the pickup point as I can't understand why your company would associate with Allianz and then decline insurance. Is this just so foreign travellers have to pay the more expensive insurance at the desk?? Because there is a massive difference between $9/day and $37/day. He then told me to sort it out myself because he works for Hertz and not Allianz. He also when issuing the statement had no clue what each section was about. We had prepaid to car itself however he continued to tell me I still had to pay for the car rental itself. When I corrected him on this he flat out told me 'no! I still had to pay the rental and it would be sorted out at the drop off point. The car itself was appalling! The wiper blades were old and thus created a very unsafe wiping motion with snow and rain! This is an obvious traffic hazard and we were lucky it did not cause an accident!. The heating system was also appalling! It took on average 45 minutes each time for the car to heat up to a suitable temperature. The boot size was unacceptable! We had to drop the back 2 seats to even have a chance to fit our luggage in. Even then the back seat passenger was forced into the door to fit in the car! Again if we were given the car we requested this would not of happened. The only good thing of this rental was dropping in back into downtown Vancouver. Bruno at the location apologised profusely for an employee he admits to not even knowing. He also spent the time to explain the whole invoice and infact stated that I had prepaid the car rental and it should not of been on the initial invoice. He then corrected the invoices so it only showed the insurance that we owed on the car. He was sorry that I was made to feel this way and stated that the previous employee was obviously new but that it was unacceptable to make anyone feel the way I was made to feel. At the end of the day I will never hire through Hertz again as this experience left me mortified and extremely disrespected. I may be a female but I can guarantee I am not stupid and do not deserve to be treated as such.

Concerned that we took out CDW as recommended on your website to be told that didn’t cover anything and that we needed to pay $34/ day for proper insurance!
