First of all: there were only 2 agents at the counter while there were more than 5 parties waiting in line. It took more than half an hour to finally talk to the counter. The girl at the counter was very nice - nothing to say about that. But she told me that they’re gonna charge me 84 extra $ (more than half of the price that I had already paid online) because of extra fees, charges, taxes, etc. While I had already paid taxes online and while NOTHING was indicated online when I paid the car. There was absolutely no mention of any additional costs that I could have to pay when picking up the car. Of course: no negotiation possible. Then after 45min, I finally get my car and there is a big scratch/hole in the rear bumper. The girl at the counter had said “if you see something when you do your inspection, just let my colleague know at the gate”. Which I did: the woman at the gate clearly did not care at all, was obviously very annoyed by me pointing this out to her, did not write down anything and just told me “well, take a picture if you want”. She was very rude unlike the girl at the counter. Only good thing: when I dropped the car, it took 30s and the girl was super nice. Would I recommend this place to a friend: definitely not. It costed me way more than it should have, took forever to get my car and half of the staff is very rude.

Hertz, Kona has great customer service. They were friendly, fast and great to work with.

Got the car and it was kinda a beater. cig burns in the seat, dents in the bumper, The car was dirty and broken bumpers, It did run just fine with no problems.. Ps the price was pretty reasonable,
