Once you’ve picked up your car rental in Waterloo you’ll be off and rolling. The best way to learn about a city is to take in its history, which is why we invite you to take a journey into the past with a visit to the Ice House Museum. This authentic ice house used to store up to eight thousand tons of ice per year to help the community preserve its food. Now it’s full of exhibits pertaining to that strange time before refrigerators. About eight miles south of the museum is the Waterloo Center for the Arts, which houses collections from both local and international artists. There’s even a children’s museum for your little ones to enjoy if you’ve brought them along.
