Spokane Intl Car Rental Reviews

Car rental rating: 4.38 out of 5 with 8 ratings

"The agent did try to persuade me to upgrade to a better car. After I declined, she said, "Oh, the car class you rented is unavailable, I'm giving you a free upgrade." Kind of shady, but thanks for the upgrade." ELLEN

(Reviewed on September 27, 2015 )

"We did the "wild card" option and you never know what you are going to get with that. Usually, it's an OK car. This time, while there were many on the lot unrented it was bio us they gave us the bottom of the line car. No cruse control, etc. BUT, it served it's purpose and we made our quick monthly trip without incident. Thanks." SUSAN

"Franco at Thrifty was incredible. He is a true gem and will bring future business to him and will refer friends family and associates to Thrifty and Franco. Thank you for wonderful service and taking that extra mile for your customers!" WK

"I wish an economy car was available for my long journey but they were all taken. The mid-size probably provided more comfort though so things worked out for the best I suppose :-)" JOHN

"Very knowledgeable, best price around, very thorough in every way, very friendly. thank you," JAMES

"Awesome experience. Thanks." RHODENA

"I answered no to the last question because "maybe" wasn't an option. I use sites like to save time. It doesn't always mean more convenient or best price." DANNY

Find Your Way Around Spokane Airport

Welcome to Spokane, Washington, home to a thriving arts district and some particularly beautiful natural spaces. There’s a lot to see and do in this part of WA, and you won’t manage to accomplish all of that by relying on public transportation or borrowing cars from local friends. Make sure you see the places you want on your own time with a cheap car rental from Spokane airport.

Arrival and Car Pick-Up

When you arrive at Spokane International Airport (GEG), head to the Ground Transportation Center, located adjacent to baggage claim. The airport is only 7 miles west of downtown Spokane, so once you’ve got your keys in your hand, you’ll be ready to head out into Washington.

Out & About in Spokane

No trip to Spokane is complete without a visit to the Manito Park and Botanical Gardens. Located about 9 miles east of the airport, this lush park sprawls across 90 acres, and features a conservatory, various gardens, and an arboretum. Whether you want to stroll through its colorful fields of flowers or learn about some of the flora and fauna, you’ll find yourself surrounded by beauty and peace. Nearby is the Bing Crosby Theater, where you can take in a local performance amid splendid décor from the building’s opening in 1915.
Ready to drive outside city limits? Steer your rental car from Spokane airport about 20 miles northeast to Cat Tales Zoological Park. This animal rescue, originally opened in 1991, isn’t just home to tigers and pumas; it is also a sanctuary for parrots, bobcats, and several endangered species. Alternatively, head about 15 miles east of the airport to Spokane Valley, a lush, green city straddling the Spokane River. Wander along the waterfront, play golf at one of its many courses, or enjoy a session at one of its spas.

Leaving Spokane

When you’re ready to head home, return your car rental to the Ground Transportation Center. From there, walk to Spokane’s one terminal and make your way to your concourse. Please note that if you reserve a car rental from an off-site company, you will need to make additional arrangements to reach the airport.
Spokane airport serves United and Delta airlines, among others, and sees between 2 and 3 million passengers per year. It keeps these passengers occupied with a variety of restaurants; whether you’d like a sandwich or a craft beer, you’ll find something to your liking at GEG. You may also want to pick up a magazine or gadget before boarding your flight.
