After relatively expensive upgrade and later restriction of the agreed comprehensive insurance on a deductible of 800 - GBP, we had taken the car with 3 battered rims. Upon returning, we were shown a 12mm long, superficial cut in the tire wall over one of the battered rims, for which we were charged GBP 428.48. Of course, it was not possible to verify that this cut existed before or during the 1200 miles on Scottish highland roads.
