Terrible company. We arrived in Puerto Vallarta, went to get the car and were informed they had run out of cars. I said I had a reservation and they said there was nothing they could do. We ended up taking a taxi to the resort and walked most other places. I still have to work things out with the insurance company that I prepaid. I’m not optimistic. GIANT HASSLE.

We booked the car rental reservation 5 months ahead of our vacation. I felt skeptical about this reservation the weeks prior and attempted calling several numbers provided to us and none of them worked. So I called the US headquarters. Twice I spoke with US representatives that said that somebody would call me back with more specific information and I NEVER received any call backs. We were told that there was an airport location, but that didn't mean a location inside the airport, but one outside the airport (no shuttle). No instructions were ever provided about how to get to the location. This is not like the US where there is a nice offsite facility. Luckily another rental agency in the airport had their number and allowed us to use their phone to speak to them. That phone call lasted all of 20 seconds. They never even asked my name. All they asked was through which service did I book and if I pre-paid. They immediately told me that there were NO CARS for us and to have a nice day. Another representative at the airport said that another family just like us was also left in the same unfortunate circumstance from U-Save that same morning, so clearly there is a pattern. We were left stranded with no car during high season. We were forced to then get a car from another agency for over $500. None of this was reputable.

The car was fine but I was forced to buy hundreds of dollars worth of insurance without prior notice. My quoted price was $6/week, plus an insurance policy, for a total of around $75. Upon arrival, the total became something like $300. Even after showing proof of insurance, the total only dropped to $260. I was powerless and dissatisfied
