While the counter experience was very good with a very helpful and polite employee doing a great job (and even booking for me another car from another supplier), I could not pick up my car because I did not show up with a utility bill showing my address and a copy of my car insurance contract (not just my insurance card that I had)... My usual driver license and credit card show were not sufficient to get me into a car... it seems to be a rule for local rental in U-Save. The problem is that no where during the booking and prepayment process did I see this requirement and I do not travel with copies of utility bills and car insurance contract...

They are very, very, VERY pushy about selling their insurance, and selling their toll pass. If you try to cancel the reservation because they have had you in line for more than an hour, and tell them that they are performing a bait and switch with all of their fees that can add up to more than the original cost of the rental, they are insistent that there are no refunds for online sales. If you have to return early in the morning, you have to return to an offsite lot and they charge you something like $23 for parking and shuttle. This was the worst car rental experience of my life, other than that the car itself was very nice. Everything to do with the desk staff was horrific and infuriating. FYI: they won't take credit card based insurance. FYI: beware if you have to dropoff outside of normal business hours. FYI: use avoid toll roads on your Google Maps so that you don't have to pay their $50 PER TOLLROAD fee if you don't take their daily charge.

They will act like it's mandatory to buy there supplemental insurance, but it isn't. They'll say things like it's our policy, it's required, etc... Stand your ground and don't get bullied. If you produce your insurance coverage with comprehensive and commission, you don't have to buy their garbage insurance. Terrible experience.
