When we where driving to SF, the AC went out in the car. It was a miserable 3 hour drive. I called several times, and I kept getting the run around. We are driving, and I am being asked where I am, so they can find a location to trade the car in, we are on the road. I was told if you would of brought us a new car to our hotel in SF, there would of be charge. We had to drive a 2 hours out of our way to the airport to trade the car in This was a real inconvenience, because we had reservations, that the tickets had already been paid for in advance. We get to the airport, and we where told that there is going to be a long wait because of the other people waiting. I told them we had tickets, and that the rental company would have to reimburse us for our tickets. We finally got a new rental car, and just made our reservations. This was something that I think that Thrifty, should of accommodated us, and brought us a new rental to the hotel. We had to used the gas that we had but in the car to drive the hour to the airport, to get the new car. We had paid up front the $49.95 for us to be able to bring the car back empty when we got the car at the Reno airport.

Easy pickup; vehicle was in great shape; got the job done! (Bit expensive, though.)

I booked through carrentals.com, and the process was smooth and efficient from booking through drop off, and the rental was reasonably priced.
