I rented from Thrifty with a pickup at MHT at 12am. On empty stretch of highway the vehicle lurched and then wouldn't exceed 40mph. I called the roadside assistance and the woman providing assistance, Britanny was slow to respond. When I told her the car stalled on the offramp of Rt 101 and Rt 125 she kept asking for the address...it was dark, the vehicle.was filling with smoke, we were in the middle of the offramp in a strange place. There is no street address. Britanny was clearly not in the US and was not understanding of our situation. She told me she would arrange for pick-up of the vehicle and a lyft or taxi. In both instances she made contact but did not make any arrangement except to give my cell phone number before disconnecting. Both tried calling back and got no answer but a voicemail for some sort of Asian holding company. Both called me and I made the arrangements for the pickup of the vehicle, also alerting the local police, and arranged for a cab to pick us up. While waiting for the cab I called your 800 number and got the run around on how to cancel the reservation and obtain a refund. After being transferred back and forth between two departments I was disconnected.

My plane got delayed and as a result I missed a connecting flight and came in much later than expected. Called carrentals and without much hassle they adjusted the rate accordingly so I was charged less for fewer days. Very satisfied.
