I arrived at Montego Bay airport ready to pick up my car. When I arrived one agent barely greeted me while the other had her head down and was fast asleep snoring. The other agent didn’t even bother to wake up the agent. She took my information and told me that it was mandatory to pay $25 a day for insurance. That would’ve been nice to know. I was taken to the over crowded lot where our car was. I was confused as the gentleman gave me the keys. The car was filthy!! Like it hadnt been touched with water in weeks. The interior was ok. But a good cleaning could’ve been done there too. When I dropped the car off a few other ppl were waiting and looking for a representative of Thrifty. I went inside and to my surprise the sleeping agent was awake and took care of my return. Do not rent from them. They are unorganized and rude!

My experience was very overwhelming as I had to pay over 400.00 in which was not in my original email. I was also told I could not rent the vehicle without it and I needed 1000.00 down all this at the thrifty car rental in Montego Bay airport in Jamaica

My experience was terrible and very lengthy. To begin the car had no spare tire. Gas tank was also on empty. AMD to top it all off the car also had no brakes. After discovering it had no breaks as I attempted to drive the car off the lot I returned it right away. To be told by the customer service reps that if they were able to find me another vehicle I would be responsible for the extra charges if any. When another vehicle was provided it also had an empty gas tank. It was after 11pm the country is on a curfew amd most of the gas stations had already been closed. The whole experience was atrocious. As a company that is expecting people to pick up cars and they have a gas station directly beside them, the onus shud be on the company to put at least some gas in the cars knowing that the country is under a curfew. There was no customer whatsoever.
