As other reviewers have noted. They will require you to purchase their insurance regardless of your auto insurance or the extra insurance package offered at checkout. Don’t buy it. It’s useless. Car will likely be on empty but gas station is next door. Also — they will charge you $500 deposit. First car had dash light on. Took it back and got a newer version of same car and it changed our trip — we drove along the coast and through the countryside of Jamaica with no incidents! Best advise we got 20 minutes after landing in Jamaica and getting lost, “don’t ask anybody for advise except the police.” :)

First of all I booked insurance thru carrental insurance option, when I went to pick up the car the agent told me I have to buy insurance thru them. Insurance I got doesn’t work there, so it’s mandatory i have to buy. when I picked up the car it’s was really but condition lots of damage tires was bad it’s was bad stunk so bad, so they brought other same model little less damage but stunk in there too. While driving with family Ac doesn’t blow cold air. On my was to airport I got flat so I changed out tire with spare. When I looked at flat tire they have patched the sidewall of the tire, which is really bad idea n very dangerous. As mechanic I can’t do that in US. So if I was going fast it’s could put me n my family in danger or got killed. When I got to car return the guy said I hit pothole that why I got flat. I took pic of the sidewall the patched it’s loss n has hole.
