Clerk wouldn’t allow me to rent because I didn’t come in on a flight. I live in Spokane and rent all the time. I reserved the wrong date, so I asked if he could honor the price for that day I was in there. That’s when he gave me the line of b.s. saying he couldn’t rent to me. I went to budget, next counter, and rented a car. I’ll do everything I can not to rent from Thrifty in the future. I’m a business person who needs rentals often. I was not impressed.

The inside of the windshield was filthy. Absolutely filthy. Also, I accidentally left my prescription sunglasses in the vehicle. They fell off the dashboard onto the floor of the passenger side of the vehicle. I called the Thrifty Rental Office, Spokane International Airport and informed the representative of what happened. I also told him that I parked the blue Nissan in Space #1. The person to whom I spoke told me he would check the vehicle and call me back. I never received a call from the representative. I made a second call to the office and spoke to a second person who said that the vehicle had been moved to the location where the cars are cleaned and washed but that he would call that location to see if someone had seen or located my glasses. I never got a call back from that person either. I called a third time and spoke to Yet a third person whom I believe identified himself as the manager. I reiterated what I said twice before and the manager told me to wait while he made a call to try and find out if anyone had seen the sun glasses. After about 40 seconds, the “manager,” came back on line and told me that no one had seen the sun glasses and furthermore, no one would be interested in taking a pair of sun glasses that were left in a vehicle. I explained to the “manager,” that I know that the sun glasses were on the floor of the passengers side of the vehicle because I remember them falling off the dashboard onto the floor on the passengers side of the vehicle and that someone at Thrifty must have retrieved the sun glasses from the vehicle and that to deny that fact was truly ludicrous. I told him I accidentally left the sun glasses in the vehicle and he could not honestly tell me that no one subsequently found them. I am really disappointed with the Thrifty staff at the Spokane International Airport. No one called me back and I believe that no one seriously tried to find my prescription sun glasses. Furthermore, I am willing to bet 10 to 1 that no one ever checked for the glasses and that the person who drove the vehicle from the Thrifty parking space # 1 to get it cleaned most probably found the sun glasses in the vehicle. What that person did with the sun glasses thereafter is unknown.
