My experience was very poor. I was FORCED to agree to take liability coverage, and was told it was required by the laws of Mexico, although I had this coverage through my American Express credit card. I was again FORCED to pay $22.00 per day, even though I didn't need this coverage.

The National rental car place at San jose Del Cabo airport did not have any record of our reservation and did not have an all wheel drive vehicle (we had reserved a 4x4 Jeep). They told us we had to go to Cabo San Lucas as that is where our reservation was. I accepted that may have been my mistake when booking, We paid $60 usd to take a cab to cabo san lucas. Upon arrival at the Cabo rental place they told us our reservation was back at san jose del cabo airport (where we had just come from and where they had no record of our reservation) and that we needed to go back there to get a car. Neither office had a car to fulfill our reservation. We waited 6 hours in cabo san lucas to pick up the most basic compact car which meant we had to change our vacation plans because we needed a 4x4 for our current itinerary. We also paid the same rate as what we had reserved for Jeep for which they gave us the complete runaround about. This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had and we were do terribly disapointed.
