Excellent responsiveness to the tenant. The delay produced by the airline was registered by the landlord and an employee was waiting for us (which, however, caused additional costs).

I arrived at the Hertz counter to pick up my Mercedes B180 that was confirmed. I was told that there was no B180 and that I would be given an Audi A3 in stead. I expressed my disappointment over this as the choice of that car determined my reservation with Hertz OSL. Then “Martin” at the counter explained that they had not had the B180 among their cars for a long time and that they had notified Hertz centrally (IT dept.) by mail to have the change carried out, but it had not been done. I said that was pretty bad performance in this day and digital age. I felt very disappointed and suggested with some sarcasm that maybe that mail had been sent by the postal service and by sea rather than email. This friendly sarcasm was taken very badly and personally by “Martin” who proceeded to cancel my reservation and informed me that I would be put on the Hertz blacklist worldwide forever. I saw no need to argue about it but it did ruin my visit to Oslo as I now had to rely on public transportation or pay a fortune with another firm. The professional way to handle this when “Martin” saw my initial disappointment would have been to offer a car that would be at least on the level with my reservation, not below. Thin skinned people like “Martin” should not be exposed to clients.
