Hertz itself was fine. However this third party site moved my reservation from an airport pickup and drop off location to a downtown location. This forced me to get transport to and from the airport which cost me more than $70 additional dollars.

I always book with Hertz and often, as I am a loyal gold member. The experience this time around was not good. The car I was given was filthy. There were stains all over the seats. I took photos as a record. There was food in between the seats and under the seats and in the vents. There were dents all over the car as well. I always book a few weeks in advance to secure my requested car. When I arrived at my reservation time, a car was not available in the class I had reserved. There was one car left in the class above, which they tried to charge me extra for. For one thing, I should not be charged extra when I made a reservation well in advance. It’s not my fault that the staff did not plan in advance to have the correct car ready for the reservation. Secondly, the car I received was hardly in a class above. The state of it was disgusting and I really had no choice but to take it because there were only two other vehicles left in the garage, which were trucks. I was in a rush and had already been made to wait almost half an hour. The speed at which the counter clerks operated was really astounding. Their attitude makes you feel like you’re a burden, which is not how a loyal gold member should be treated or any customer for that matter. Not to mention, I was almost charged extra because they made a mistake with my reservation. I’m really unhappy with my experience this time around. I’m a loyal customer and was treated poorly. The staff that is usually there has always treated me very nicely and has made sure that I have had the best experience possible. I would like someone to contact me about this experience and I would like to submit photo documentation for the state of the vehicle that was rented to me. I think this vehicle should not be rented to any customer for the rate that was given. I basically paid $140 for two days of driving around in a dump that made me very uncomfortable. I could not drive clients around because the car was so gross.
