Horrible !!!! Price for cars are not 25 to 30 dollers but 300+++ !!! They charge your card all these fees that they FAIL to mention !!!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

Benito helped not only helped me get a great car and fast service to get in and out. He resolved an error I made a on another reservation where I could not get anyones help at Car Rentals. He believed me and fixed it at once. Way to go Benito. !!!! I will use him again when I go see my sister. It is trust and sincerity!!!!

On arrival at the pickup center, there was no car available. They reported that they had cars returned due to damage/repair and had to be replaced, which left them with a shortage. This was at a major location on a major holiday weekend, SJC - San Jose airport! We had to wait more than 3 hrs to receive a car from them, and it turned out to be a noise maker that kept us guessing if it was going to break down before we got back from the 'vacation' we supposedly were on. It's would be no wonder if others had returned this car as faulty, and it's no wonder also that we were handed a problem car without any mention of it - why would they? While small rental companies do reduce the rental cost, the quality of product and service is also lacking. The use of 3rd party booking services like car rentals or HotWire is exacerbating the problems when transaction does not go smoothly. Car Rental.com greedily, and perhaps justifiably so, took the money upfront and offers no reimbursement. They know the game and one can't really fault them for playing it. It's the old 'take the money and run' game.
