Fox has the slowest pickup of any rental car company. I waited for over half an hour for them to get two people in front of me processed. Then it took 25 minutes to get my car. I was in a hurry and travelling for work. I would not recommend Fox to anyone in a hurry. The car was older and smelled of smoke and air freshener. The cars are usually quite damaged so make sure to fill out the damage form they give you and return it before you leave the airport at SFO.

My experience was not a good first impression or experience with Fox Rentals at SFO airport. The rep, EVALINE, not only was rude from the jump, but she seemed bored and miserable.It was almost the end of Christmas Day (10-11pm), but unecessarily took it out on me. Not only did she greet me with an attitude, not even a hello, but when she proceeded to look up my reservation which i had made far in advance, with no hesitation or empathy just flatly stated there was no car available for me to pick up and never once looked me in the eye at this point. My immediate response was excuse me? and she repeated her case that there are no cars available to me and that i could shop around at the other rental companies at the airport for another option and Fox would pay the difference. Now im sorry, but ive been in retail sales and customer service for over 15 years and i know that is not how you greet/ first response you give someone on Christmas Day or any day, especially if they've been traveling for 14 hrs cross country from NYC, to start their two week road trip with the very car that is not available to be picked up as was planned, or any car at all. I asked her to give me the respect as a customer i deserved and not only look me in the eyes as she gave me this bad news but to also explain why any car was not left reserved to me.. Now i rent cars all the time from many different rental companies, and i know the Jeep Compass White, i was hoping for was most likey going to be a vehicle comparable to that, but never in my life had i been so dismissed. I immediately told her i no longer wanted to speak with her but the manager on duty which was right next to us. He was calm, professional and right after i had spoken to him regarding my pick up, lietrally starting over with him as if the previous rep was not there, did he as her to pull up the system and saw there were cars available, one imparticularly almost just as comparable to the one i was expecting to rent ( a RAv4 white), just finished being washed and waiting for me, still wet and slightly dirty, but clean on the inside, for me to pick up,which was all i needed to move forward. No smart talk, no disrespect, just a true polite, professional. All this was done using the same employee's computer that i had dealt with right before, and she was actually still sitting there rudely at the computer with us, as he asked her to do the search under his supervision. He did not just shut me down and ignore my feelings and all human empathy the way she did. I felt extremely embarrassed for her and for your company at that moment, and very grateful to him for solving what could have been a big issue, with just a little bit of class and patience. It was as quick at effortless as that, which was what blew my mind about the customer experience i just endured. Needless to say, i am very grateful and happy that all was resolved and i went onwards merrily on my trip which at this point was 11pm to drive another hr and half upstate to my desitination.

they told us we had NO VEHICLE, GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK, & SAID GOOD LUCK FINDING A VEHICLE SOMEWHERE ELSE !!
