This is my first time booking with FOX. When I got to Denver to pick up the rental, the guy at the front desk was no help at all. He told me I needed a better SUV to get up the mountains. I had rented a Wrangler. But before booking the Wrangler I called FOX and someone assured me it was a 4WD. Anyways I decided to get a better SUV for my trip. it was too expensive!!!!!!!!!!

My brother and I flew into Denver in early February when a law stating that snow tires, 4WD, or chains would be necessary on all cars to drive on the freeway. We'd rented an SUV but when we got to FOX, there were signs everywhere that read 4WD not guaranteed. We told the counter staff that that was okay so long as we could rent a car with snow tires - they replied by saying that NONE of their vehicles had snow tires in Denver... They tried to upsell us a 4WD vehicle triple what we'd paid online and after 20 minutes they finally told us that they had a more affordable 4WD option. Once we had our vehicle, the first one we were given had a tire pressure problem (apparently a car rental place doesn't have a pressure gauge on hand or a way of adding air to the tires), the second one had another problem, and then by the time we were shown a third car, it was 90 minutes after we'd arrived at FOX. Not an ideal experience, probably would go with a different rental spot next time.

FOX needs more agents available at the front desk to handle customers. There were only two of us on line and it still took at least 20-30 minutes just to get checked in.
