I realize nothing is Normal anymore, however if your going to be open, you should at least staff for for the business you know it’s coming. I rented a premium full-size SUV from your dollar brand. When we arrived there was approximately 20+ people in line and one poor counter agent trying to get cars processed as fast as possible. After we stood there for approximately 30 minutes a gentleman from the Hertz counter across the hall walked over and started Pulling people from the front of the line and assisting them at the Hertz counter. The agent working that day was very pleasant and very efficient however she was overwhelmed because she was the only one working the counter the entire time I stood there. It took approximately an hour to get the car and no one except the Hertz guy that came across was there to help her. She carefully explained the contract and explained where to go to pick up the car. I walked outside got in the vehicle and it stunk like cigarette so bad i stopped and got in another vehicle and the only person i saw throughout the process was the lady at the counter, the Hertz gentleman across the hall and the lady at the exit. Again I realize it’s extraordinary times, But if you’re going to be in business you should at least staff for the business you know is coming.

Pickup was easy. Counter clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. No pressure on adding extra insurance. Car drove smoothly with no issues. Return process was quick.

Checking in was okay - there were only two counter clerks, and they were not particularly fast, but were okay. When we got to the parking lot, the only economy car available had the keys locked it in from the previous renter, so we were happily upgraded to a Toyota CHR that was a nice vehicle.
