I chose to rent a Managers Special instead of choosing a class of car myself. I figure, I'd let the dice roll where they may. When I arrived all they had was pick up trucks and a van. I had a 1000+ mile trip, so I didn't want a gas guzzler. After initially saying they had nothing smaller, the agent was able to find a couple of other options (it's all a game car rental companies play). The other options were more fuel efficient, but I did have to pay a little extra per day. Next time I'll just pick a class and let some other sucker end up with a vehicle the managers couldn't otherwise rent out.

THIS OVERPRICED RENTAL RATE INCLUDED A COMPACT NOT BUILT FOR CONDITIONS OF VERMONT. It was dirty. Had excessive issues mechanically uncomfortable and not good traction in snow and ice.

The Nissan versa that I rented was designed to fall apart in a head on collision. A driver heading north while I was heading south lost control of his car cross the median strip and crashed into me head on. The Front of the car was destroyed but I was protected from most of the shock of the collision. The airbags and seatbelt work and I am alive with just two broken arms and six cracked ribs. So, I am grateful for the rental car. Sorry That your car was damaged. This was truly a case of “the other guy“ causing the accident. Fortunately, none of the passengers in the other car were hurt so all things considered Luck and good fortune were on my side.
