Several times I rent from Avis / Budget, and several times they try to pass me a lower category car. Each time you have to fight to have a car of the right category. The last time they just didn't have any left, so I had to accept a lower category car otherwise I would have to cancel the vacation with the kids. Otherwise, on the day of collecting the car, there were so many people that we had to wait more than 1 hour 30 minutes and I had to pay for the Parisian parking lot because they gave me the wrong exit ticket. (refund request made). On the way back it went well, the person who collected the car was very good, so I am waiting for the reimbursement of the parking ticket and a voucher to be seen on the next reservation on the Avis site, but I do not know if I will re-rent with them given the systematic problems I have with them.

Impeccable car and service but access to the agency at Gare de Lyon is nightmarish (lack of sign, false indications from SNCF agents, access to lifts impossible ...). Big wait for the recovery (No additional staff for a day of big departure, only one agency and only 2 agents in place). Access to the return polluted by panels.
