luggage carpet blocked at 22h call without response from the renter at 22h05 22h10 22h15 22h20 so no vehicle in Casablanca forced to take a hotel next to the airport

Hertz were rude, unhelpful and utterly useless. Firstly, they lied to us about how much fuel was in the tank when we picked the car up in Orvieto. They told us it was full but when i checked it far about 3/4s full. I went to complain about this but they had shut their shop for lunch and no staff were anywhere to be seen. Things got worse when we returned the car at Rome FCO airport. One member of staff asked for our contract which we gave to them and then demanded that we pay the rental fee to them which we had already paid in Orvieto. They refused to accept my explanation that this had already been paid for when we picked the car up. I was forced to open up my online banking app to show them that the payment had been made. They still refused to believe us but the lady who initially dealt with us had run away to serve another customer and taken our contract papers with her! We were left waiting for around 10 mins before someone finally served us. I again showed them my online banking app to show the payment had been made and then a member of staff started rifling through the bin and eventually found our contract papers which stated that we had already paid! No apology was given. Will never use Hertz again.
