We flew into Santa Barbara and didn't get to the desk until 9:20. We were shocked when the lights were out and weren't sure what to do. Luckily the service rep had ran to the restroom and she explained that we should notify them when we arrive 9:00 PM. Check out was a breeze, however, it was tricky finding our car in the dark and drizzly weather.

Hello, I feel like I got swindled by Avis. I had reserved a full size car with general liability insurance for $36 for pickup at Santa Barbara airport, and they did not have the car available I had requested. The man offered me a Ford Mustang and I said no that would not do because we had large luggage (reason for requesting full size) He left left to go talk to someone in the back, returning and said he could offer me a “great deal.” He wrote down on a piece of paper that he could give me his employee discount that he could only give out twice a month, and that he had a Mercedes for me for $69 vs $225 that it normally would cost, total additional. Now I get my final bill and check my statement and have over TWICE the amount I was expecting. My initial rental was for around $136 total for full size rental and insurance for 3 days. My total bill now is for $559. Can someone please look in to this?
