There was a handwritten note at the door, that it was closed at 12 noon for Christmas Holiday on 12/24. I did have a noon pickup scheduled, but my ride was delayed by a little, so I couldn't make it quite on time. I had no call or email notice from the office to inform me of your schedule change. When I made my original reservation, I was told that the office would be open until 4 pm on Sundays.
My ride dropped me off at the location on Kettner Blvd, and there I was standing at a closed door. After about 5 phone calls, I finally got to a supervisor, who arranged a pickup at the airport, with the promise, that my initial quote of $380 would be honored - after I had been quoted a new rental price of over $1,000. Finding a taxi was not easy, and once I got to the airport, I was initially told that there were no cars available. However, I had a very nice gentleman by the name of Gene assisting me, and after agreeing to pay $480, another supervisor found a car for me.
Upon returning the car, Gene was there again, and I actually got another small discount with my initial quote, which paid for the taxi. Outside of loosing about 2 hours and many telephone hassles, it worked out alright, but it certainly would have been appropriate for your Kettner Office to let their customers know, that they were closing and to have alternative options for pick-up available! Especially the day before Christmas.
So it is a little difficult to say, whether or not to recommend this place! But I will give it a yes for the right people, making an effort to rectify the situation.
