Avis was my company it was a one way rental Charleston SC to Raleigh NC. I wanted to drop the car off at an Avis office 3 miles from my son’s house, Avis wouldn’t let me do that I had to drop the car off at Raleigh airport 17 miles one way from my son’s home. Not customer friendly, especially when an Avis office was near my sons home.

Charleston Airport Car rental staff and the process needs HELP fast. They all waited on one person on a walkie talkie to proceed with everyones rental and that lady was busy chatting away with others. No one was friendly and nothing explained to us...like how to use the Toll window gadget. No start mileage was recorded so they told us at drop off we drove over 46,000 miles in 5 days just around the Charleston area.. We dropped off at the Savannah, GA and that was a breath of fresh air in comparison...very Easy and Smooth with knowledgeable staff..they said the will adjust the ridiculous mileage error that Charleston made and send us a final receipt in the mail.

First of my reservation that I pre paid for was not the same one. Then I was super sizes at the counter to upgrade to the next level since there was no other cars left. Gave me a total as much as my entire rental agreement was after arguing a little bit I was then asked if I was Costco or AAA member and discounted the price. when we went out to our car it was completely dirty and there was actually blood on one of the seats. No one around to ask, had to walk all the way back to the terminal to tell the representative and all he could offer was a $50 discount off of the rental. We needed the car we wherer behind schedule anyways so we took it.
