The customer service that I received at Alamo is perhaps the best that I have during my car rental experiences. I travel for work a lot and rent cars often. I was very impressed with the knowledge of each representative when picking up and dropping off of the vehicle.

My experience was not the best, I understand with it being Labor Day Weekend and FEMA personal were renting vehicles as well would cause a delay in customers receiving vehicle because of late turn in. But I was not given a update on the status of my vehicle. I had to keep going to the desk to get and update. This caused me to be late for a funeral I was attending with my son. I later got compensated for my troubles and I truly appreciate it.

After reserving over 7 months in advance our 15 passenger van rental wasn't available to us. According to the manager the previous renters had placed a dent in it and they couldn't allow us to have it. This threw a serious wrench in our travel plans. We practically begged for them just to take a picture of the damage to know if we damaged it more or not and let us take the van. We were told no. The solution was to split us into 2 cars. This would only cause more financial strain as we would now have to pay for double gas, double parking, and be strained on drivers to change out with. Toya was extremely unprofessional and rude. She should expect clients to be upset when they mess up reservations and potentially ruin family plans. Jonathan , the manager, seemed fine and professional until he was overheard making a nasty comment to Toya towards us. Corporate was called and Toya said They'll only send your complaint back here to Jonathan. Which apparently is true because no one has reached out to resolve the issue. One of the cars was given to us with serious mechanical issues. By the time we were hours on the road, mechanical lights and notifications came on. As well as needing an oil change. It was terrible on gas!! Cars are rented for a reason. Alamo/National/Enterprise should understand the effect on travel plans when the car that was reserved is not available. Not just telling them they can cancel the reservation. Try to use more empathy. Teach your employees like Toya, what it means.
