The Hertz staff was rude. They wouldn't allow me to use a different credit card that I used to make the booking to put down the $200 deposit they required (which CarRentals.com did not make me aware of in advance at all). Miserable experience. Nobody cared. I got the car anyway, but I will never go back. I'll take my business elsewhere in the future.
