I did not have vehicle choice. They had only 1 car to offer which was pretty old.

I reserved a full size card with my CC about three hours before going to pick it up at MIA. When I arrived, I was asked for credit card and license. I requested the Sun Pass till option for $10 and advised her I have my own insurance. She then proceeds to tell me that the only available option is a mini van, which I did not reserve, not did I want. I reminded her about my paid reservation but apparently it was not reserved with enough advanced notice. I have not bothered to follow up but that was my experience. I ended up leaving with no car.

I got there an half an hour early so they said that I would have to wait since they didn't have the car that I wanted and it will be ready by 12noon. They said that if I would take a better car like a convertible it would be ok just have to pay more so I refused. I said no but she said that she would make out the paperwork so it will be ready for when the vehicle I reserved was ready. She asked about insurance coverage and I said that I will deny it since I'm covered with the credit card that I used. I went and took a seat. About 15 mins later the agent approached me to ask if I would take a much lesser vehicle than I ordered for $20 less I could get a vehicle right away. I counter offered to make it $60 and we have a deal but they refused so again I would continue to wait till the vehicle I reserved was ready. It is now about 15 mins after my schedule pick up time and the agent approaches me a gain to say she was sorry that they still have a vehicle for me but that I could get a minivan instead for the same price. I refused as I didn't need a vehicle that large as I was traveling alone. Finally about 20 mins later they said that they finally had a vehicle for me so when I went to the counter she said that all I had to do was just initial sign and I did as she asked not realizing that she had me initial the part about the using the rental agency insurance. I went down to pick up the vehicle and it was not ready still I had to wait about 10 mins for them to wash it and clean it. As I reached my hotel in south beach Miami I went to put the rental agreement in the glove compartment and noticed the priced looked different that what was agreed on. I called them immediately not realizing I was calling the corporate number and not the Miami airport location. They said that there was nothing they can do and that I would have to return to the airport to dispute it. As it was about 2:30pm I was running late for an event that just started as I was to just get the rental check into the hotel at 3pm, shower and leave. To go all they way back to Miami airport from south beach in rush hour traffic just to correct it would have not been practical and the next day I had 3 events planned to go to. So I gave up on that idea as I was not able to do it. I felt that the agent took advantage of me (irony of their company name).
