I reserved a mid-size SUV, but nothing close was available when I arrived at the counter. I was able to rent a sedan instead (a 3-year-old VW Passat diesel), but did not receive any reduction in my rental fee.

I waited in line 22 mins to finally be told she could not find my reservation. I showed her my reservation on my phone and she refused to look at it saying it may have been cancelled. I rent a car thru various companies in ABQ once per month and I have NEVER had such a problem. After what seemed like forever and a long line of waiting patrons behind me she said, it's okay, I can get you a car. I picked Advantage due to the lowest price, typical for me, and asked if the $60 total price would be matched and she said yes. I should have paid more attention instead of trusting because after returning my car the following Monday morning (I return early prior to the counter opening- leaving keys in the metal box), I saw my bank account later that day and I had been charged the $60 BEFORE taxes and fees and it cost me about $40 EXTRA. I always have to wait a long time at Advantage in ABQ but I patiently wait due to their cost savings. I travel there monthly to assist my ailing mother so finances are a concern for me. I'm a middle class, single, 58 year old female. After calling later that day and being told there was nothing that could be done to honor the reservation (thru rentalcars.com as I always do), I have vowed to tell all of my airline colleagues (29 yrs with American Airlines) and friends to choose ANY company except this company. All your staff had to do was make it right, honor the CONFIRMED reservation total price. I was not asking for a dime more- fair and reasonable. NEVER AGAIN.

Advantage staff was so friendly and helpful. When I needed an extra day, it was no problem and I got a good rate. Thank you!
